Account Executive

About the Role

ClearTrace is seeking an experienced Account Executive to support Sales activities during a critical inflection point in the company’s growth. This position will be responsible for driving B2B SaaS sales for a high-tech startup bringing real impact to corporate sustainability claims as well as enhanced capabilities to the world’s carbon-free energy leaders. This role has considerable upward mobility opportunities in a fast-growing organization.


  • 3-5+ years of relevant strategic sales experience
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Start up experience a plus
    • Software experience a plus
  • Prior experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • Renewable Energy
    • Energy Markets
    • Sustainability/ESG
    • FinTech/Blockchain
    • SReal Estate/PropTech
  • Experience in interfacing with and selling to large companies in a B2B sales capacity
  • Ability to prioritize deal pipeline and hit quarterly targets/quotas
  • Bring a network that is applicable to the product and Sales orientation of the company
  • Competency in CRM systems: Salesforce, HubSpot, Netsuite
  • An exponential learning capacity, with the ability to understand a customer’s needs on both the business and technical sides
  • Located in Austin, TX preferred; open to remote for the right candidate


  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of sales opportunities through both outbound and inbound means
  • Generate new leads by researching the market and engaging with key stakeholders at qualified companies
  • Drive leads from qualification to close in a complex and emerging market
  • Keep abreast of market movement/trends, competition, regulation, and general movement within the industry
  • Establish a strong understanding of the ClearTrace solution and your target market to position yourself as a subject matter expert
  • Maintain ability to run pitches/demos with an understanding of different client related needs and value propositions
  • Maintain contacts and notes within CRM, support creation of reporting dashboards and quarterly strategy
  • Scale our sales organization by helping build our sales processes and automation techniques
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create new processes and refine existing processes for successful customer onboarding experience
